So why should archery equipment be any different?\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cFor me, I don\u2019t want the same exact looking bow and the same exact arrows as everybody else,\u201d said Caleb Drake, owner of Advantage Archery in Twin Falls, Idaho. \u201cI don\u2019t want to just go into a store and buy what they have sitting there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Drake and many other bow shop owners work with their customers to create custom setups. Bowstrings come in more than 50 color choices. Beyond that, some manufacturers will also do a three-color blend on the string, which makes the possibilities seemingly endless.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you don\u2019t want or need a new string, adding string silencers is a cheap, easy way to add some flair. \u201cEven without putting a different string on, they can customize their factory setup by putting on the cat whiskers,\u201d Drake said, referencing Nitro Whiskers, available in over a dozen colors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"arrows\" style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Arrows\"><\/span>Arrows<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_98710\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-98710\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-98710\" src=\"https:\/\/archery360.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/2-Arrows-Advantage-Archery.jpg\" alt width=\"1000\" height=\"915\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-98710\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Your arrow fletching can be an array of fun and vibrant colors. Drake and many other shop owners work with customers to create personalized arrows. From vanes to wraps, it\u2019s easy to have fun with arrows.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Drake says there are websites where customers can customize wraps by picking out a variety of patterns and colors. The customer can design, purchase the wrap and have a bow technician put it on the arrow. Assembling arrows by putting on your own wraps or fletchings is also a great way to customize arrows, while also learning how to work on your equipment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIf you can dream it, we can make it happen. Don\u2019t be scared to ask and get it how you want it. The sky is the limit,\u201d Drake said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<h2 id=\"accessories\" style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Accessories\"><\/span>Accessories<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bows require a lot of accessories like rests, sights, quivers, stabilizers, bow grips, noise dampeners and release aids. Each is an opportunity to personalize your setup. Wrist slings are one of the most common custom accessories. Besides a variety of colors to choose from, people use beading, leather and even nameplates. But selecting accessories isn\u2019t just about the appearance; it\u2019s mostly about performance. Visit an archery shop to test different accessories like rests and sights. The only way to know your preference and what works best on your bow is by shooting arrows and seeing what you like.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"custom-colors\" style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Custom_Colors\"><\/span>Custom Colors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today\u2019s recurve and compound bows come in a range of colors. There\u2019s something for everyone. But even with all the variety, sometimes people want something even more unique. That\u2019s when people turn to custom paint jobs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe do about 15 or so a year that are custom painted or dipped into different patterns,\u201d Drake said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Painting a bow isn\u2019t a simple process. Spray paint not only looks bad, but it can harm the equipment. Unless you\u2019re skilled at working on archery equipment, Drake recommends taking your bow into a shop. A proper custom paint job requires breaking the bow down into individual parts, having it professionally painted and then reassembled and tuned by a bow technician.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">For a simpler DIY route, use paint markers.
