Shipping Policy
Standard Order Shipping
Most orders over $100 will receive free shipping in the continental United States. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii may incur extra shipping charges. We do our best to get all shipments out same or next day with inventory availability. Orders placed before 2pm CST typically fall in this category. Orders placed after 2pm CST, will typically ship next day.  As we are located in the center of The United States, most orders will be delivered in approximately three business days. Most larger items will ship via UPS. Smaller items will most likely ship via USPS. We do our best to get packages to our customers via the quickest means possible. When free shipping is offered, we will choose which service is best based on economics and speed. Â
Special Order Shipping
In certain circumstances customers may desire to have their items expedited via next day air or overnight shipping. In order to get expedited shipping, we recommend you call us at 888-236-6580 and discuss your circumstances with an associates. Special Order Shipping may incur extra expense that will be passed along to the customer and may be billed separately than the original order.
Alaska and Hawaii Shipping
Because cost to ship items to Alaska and Hawaii varies, a shipping surcharge may be added. This is based on weight and size of item(s). Please contact us at (888)236-6580 if questions regarding your order.
Return Policy
High Plains Prospectors offers an easy 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. Within 30 days of receipt of your order you may return or exchange any detector or accessory for a full refund, as long as all items are new, unused, unassembled, in the original unopened packaging, with the manufacturer’s warranty and instruction manual. When you are returning products, return shipping, insurance, etc. are your responsibility. If your detector was shipped under a free shipping promotion, shipping charges will be deducted from your refund. If payment was made via credit card merchant services/credit card fees may, at our discretion, be deducted from the refund amount as well.
Alternatively, you can get the refund in the form of store credit if you prefer. No shipping charges will be deducted from the store credit.
If the return is a result of our error or if the item is defective (out of the box), please send it back within 14 days of purchase for an exchange. We will pay the shipping costs.
If you are returning an item that has been opened or used, but not damaged, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee within the 30-day period. We are unable to accept returns after the 30-day period.
Any bundled items with a product will have to be returned in new condition with the original product it was bundled with. If you are returning a bundled item that has been opened or used, but not damaged, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee within the 30-day period deducted from the original items price.
Return Process
For your return or exchange to be processed, 3 simple steps must be completed.
- Contact us at orders@highplainsprospectors.com. You will be asked for your order number and the reason for your return.
- We will contact you within 48 hours to provide return instructions and when required a Return Merchandise Authorization ID.
- You will pack the items securely and send the item back to us.
Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 48 hours of receipt), your refund will be processed and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 7 days. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to post to your account.
