Old Army Coffee

Old Army Coffee

We are a 100% service-connected disabled, Veteran-owned small business located in Spokane Valley, Washington.

We create teams by hiring Veterans and getting them back to the task with gainful and meaningful employment. There is nothing like being part of a team again.

Our coffee roaster is Cravens Coffee in Spokane. The owner, Simon, partnered with Old Army Coffee when I told him our mission.

I told Simon that we wanted to create a company that promoted a team atmosphere similar to that which the Veterans missed from their time in the service. This would also provide meaningful employment with likeminded people. The main focus is to hire Veterans through the sale of our premium coffee.

Simon took my team into his coffee lab, and we came up with eight unique blends that are our proprietary recipes.

We want to continue to give back and serve our community and decided that there was a significant gap in the market for a positive image and unique themed coffee. Something with artwork that catches the eye of the customer and gets them thinking nostalgically about better times: fun images of the Greatest Generation and wars we were winning, that made a difference in the world.

Old Army Coffee was born out of honoring the past and serving the future. Everyone, regardless of politics, can remember fondly that period in history and has a grandparent or relative that served.

We are currently in 13 Yokes stores and have access to 150 more now that Peirone Produce has taken us under their wing.

We support and provide a product to Veteran and community Not For Profit organizations (Boy Scouts, Children First Therapy, Boots4Troops, Boy Scouts, as well as co-branded fundraising opportunities with products people want, COFFEE.

The founder, Jamie Blackhart, retired from the Army with over 30 years of service. His last duty position was the 104th Division Operations Sergeant Major with 15 plus years on active duty and the rest in the US Army Reserve and Army National Guard.

Old Army Coffee is a for-profit company that serves the greater good by offering gainful employment to our veterans.

I would like to schedule some time to tell you more about our organization if you have some time.
